Thousands of pounds of marijuana were found during a traffic stop. State troopers stopped Alberto Ozuna, 54, in the Victoria area. He was driving a tanker truck. Detectives said there was used oil inside the tanker, but a K-9 unit sniffed out something else.
Troopers pumped the oil out and found two compartments filled with nearly 7,500 pounds of marijuana, investigators said. The drugs have a street value of about $3.7 million, troopers said.
Ozuna said his trip began in Mission and he was headed to Houston. Ozuna was arrested and charged with first-degree felony drug possession.
