Barrington Men Face Multiple Drug Charges

Two Barrington men are facing drug charges after authorities searched their Lincoln Avenue home on Tuesday.

Mark Bopp, 52 and Adam Bopp, 23, are both facing charges of unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver. The Bopps were taken into custody on Tuesday morning.

“There were multiple search warrants served in Lake, Cook and McHenry Counties,” Deputy Director of the Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group, Jeffrey Padilla said. “There were multiple investigations going on in different jurisdictions that came together.”

As a result of those search warrants, authorities recovered $4,000 in cash, three pounds of cannabis and 13 firearms. Padilla confirms the Bopp family was tied to all locations searched.

The Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group is working together with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Des Plaines Police Department, Naperville Police Department, North Central Narcotics Task Force, Barrington Police Department and Antioch Police Department on the case.

Mark and Adam Bopp are currently being held in McHenry County jail. The investigation is still ongoing.
