There’s a saying about the long arm of the law. But in this the criminal activity was a bit closer to home after police raided a cannabis factory next door to a crime lab. Some 480 cannabis plants were discovered inside a warehouse in Watsonville, California, after an anonymous tip off to police.
The warehouse shares the same driveway with a Department of Justice crime lab and both buildings are next to each other. Three men, from Pacific Grove, have been arrested on drug charges after the Santa Cruz Anti-Crime raid in Airport Boulevard on Thursday. After a two-month investigation, officers broke into the warehouse and searched a home in Pacific Grove. They found the marijuana plants and 12lbs of processed cannabis worth an estimated $30,000.
Their bank account was also frozen and a safe deposit belonging to one of the suspects was seized.
