A cannabis farm has been discovered under a trap door in the basement of a house in Greater Manchester. The farm of about 200 seedlings and 200 mature plants was found by police in the property on Dales Lane in Whitefield, Bury, on Wednesday. Insp Mark Kenny said it was “a sophisticated drug producing operation in a very unusual location”. Two 19-year-old men have been charged with abstracting electricity and production of cannabis. The plants were discovered by officers carrying out a continuing operation in the area. The farm was accessed through a small makeshift trap door within the house.
