Cannabis Tales: Batavia Police Find Baggies, Drug Items at 2 Different Incidents

Cannabis made two appearances in the same day on Batavia Police reports. The incidents occurred last Sunday, Nov. 13. Here’s what happened:

4:52 p.m.—Suspicious Persons

Several subjects were seen looking in the window of a vacant east-side residence with a flashlight. The subjects said there were looking at the home, located on the 700 block of Park Street, because one of them used to live there, according to a police report.

No attempt was made to enter the home. Two small cannabis pipes and a small amount of cannabis were found in the vehicle, according to the report. The responding officer retained the items and the subjects were released without charges.

10:14 p.m.—Disturbance

Three subjects were involved in an incident downtown east of the main downtown bridge. One subject broke out a driver’s window and cracked the windshield of a vehicle with a belt, according to a police report. The vehicle’s owner was not located near the incident, which occurred on the 0-99 block of North River Street.
