Philip John Beard, 30 and Hayley Jayne Palmer, 28, both of Upper Poole Road, Dursley, were arrested on Saturday, May 21 after police carried out a warrant at their home.
Officers seized a total of 1761.61 grams of cannabis resin with an estimated street value of between £7,545 and £10,060.
At Gloucestershire Crown Court today, Tuesday, October 11, Beard was sentenced to 14 months for possession with intent to supply cannabis resin and a further 14 months to run concurrently for supplying cannabis resin.
Palmer was sentenced to 26 weeks for permitting the use of the premises for the supply of a class B drug.
She was also given a suspended sentence of 39 weeks for being concerned with the supply of cannabis, along with 120 hours of unpaid work.
PC Gavin Davis welcomed the court’s actions.
“We are pleased with the result and that justice has been done,” he said. “We hope our work here shows the local community that we will not tolerate the use or supply of illegal drugs in this county and that those involved will be arrested and put before the courts.”
