The Lake County Sheriff’s Office street crimes unit busted a marijuana grow house in Eustis on Sunday. Deputies said they arrived to the residence, located at the 200 block of Willow Song Court (see map) . They said they made contact with the occupants of the residence, Jason Sasser and Stephanie Jade Schrier. While speaking with them, deputies observed several items that led them to believe that marijuana was being cultivated at the residence. It was at this time that narcotics detectives were requested to respond.
The detectives were able to establish probable cause for a search warrant at the residence and during the search, detectives said they found nine marijuana plants, 61 marijuana plants that had recently harvested, two pounds of processed marijuana packaged for sale, eight hydrocodone pills, one xanax and one hand gun. Detectives said the street value of the seized drugs is approximately $72,100. During the search, detectives also said they confiscated a 2003 Chevrolet truck.
Schrier was charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana over 20 grams with the intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of xanax, and possession of hydrocodone. Her bond was set a $29,500, according to detectives. Authorities said they charged Sasser with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana over 20 grams with the intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of xanax, possession of hydrocodone and lease property for manufacture of an illegal substance. His total bond was set at $32,500. Detectives said Sasser and Schrier are in the Lake County jail.
