Free Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood DLC Update Now Live

Assassins in training are now able to get a little more virtual blood on their hands, courtesy of Abstergo Industries Ubisoft. Animus Project Update 2.0 is now available for download on the PS3 and Xbox 360. The download adds a new game mode and map, as well as a new Templar Score feature. Better still, it’s free.

The game’s new mode is called Chest Capture. It pits teams of attackers and defenders against each other as they try to capture chests hidden throughout the world or prevent their theft. The Pienza is a new map designed around the assassins’ acrobatic abilities.

The update’s final addition is the Templar Score, which rates players based on their four-week scores. Those scores are updated weekly, and are further segmented into 10 portions, which Ubisoft says will represent the “hierarchy of the community.” Check out the trailer below to see some of the new content in action.
