Killzone 3 Multiplayer “Beta” Launching In February

Killzone fans, it’s almost time to blast each other to bits in multiplayer. Just don’t call it a beta.

Sony’s PlayStation Blog announced the “Killzone 3 Multiplayer Open Beta” timing today, running from February 2-14. The free download will include the Frozen Dam map and all three multiplayer modes: Guerrilla Warfare (team dealthmatch), Warzone (round-based missions), and Operations (new story-based mode). Players looking to hone their skills offline can also experiment in Botzone to battle AI opponents.

While this all sounds great, Destructoid brings up the great point that this can’t actually be a beta test since the game already went gold last week. This is really a multiplayer demo in case you were wondering.
