Legalise Cannabis Alliance Electoral Candidate Could Save £95 BILLION Pounds in Cuts

Drug reform took a step closer to reality recently as it was announced the Legalise Cannabis Alliance will re-register as a political party.

The cost of drug prohibition in the United Kingdom is currently in the region of £19 Billion pounds a year, according to a spokesman for the the Legalise Cannabis Alliance.

£19 Billion pounds multiplied over 5 years equates to a head spinning £95 Billion pounds saved, if the government will listen to science and common sense on the issue of drugs. And to make their case heard they have decided to re-register as a political party.

Their spokesman said “The LCA was a successful political party from its foundation in 1999 until December 2006, when we voted at Conference to de-register due to changed political situation in the UK . The option to re-register at a future time was left open.”

“The question of re-registering has been discussed several times, and rejected by Members. However, politics has changed again and we see that the Fib Dems have let us down whilst the Green Party continue to ignore the issues that concern us here.”

“So the question has been raised again with the majority of LCA Members in support”.
