A man who police say had a container of high-grade marijuana shipped to his job site from California was arrested Wednesday, according to Mandeville Police.
Spokesman Eric Gulino said Randolph Johnson, 27, of Gretna was arrested for attempted possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
According to Gulino, detectives with the Mandeville Police received a tip that a package containing narcotics was being delivered from California to Mandeville.
The police intercepted the package at the local hub of a national delivery carrier and found that it contained a pound of high-grade marijuana, believed to be worth $4,000.
Police continued the delivery to Johnson’s place of work and arrested him after he accepted the package. He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish jail.
