After monitoring the site all day, officers arrested Ismael Garcia-Gomez, 29, of Bensenville, as he tended to the plants, Oller said.
Further details about the incident were not immediately available.
Garcia-Gomez has been charged with production and possession of cannabis, littering, criminal damage to property and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to DuPage County court documents.
He is being held in the DuPage County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail.
