Marijuana found at Mendocino prosecutor’s home

A Mendocino County prosecutor has been put on administrative leave while sheriff’s deputies investigate his possible connection to a pot garden found at his home. The Press Democrat of Santa Rosa reports that a search warrant was served Monday at the Ukiah-area home that Deputy District Attorney Sergio Fuentes shares with his mother. Mendocino County Sheriff’s Capt. Kurt Smallcomb says about 150 marijuana plants were found growing inside the home. He added that the case is under investigation and no arrests have been made. The Associated Press could not immediately reach Fuentes for comment Thursday. Fuentes works in the DA’s criminal division, and has been licensed to practice law since 2009.
