Nearly two years after voters in Washington state legalized marijuana, the industry continues to evolve. Next week a SODO company will begin selling marijuana infused edibles to licensed retailers in the Seattle area. The Seattle-based company Db3 Inc. passed the Liquor Control Board’s Infused Edible Operation Inspection and becomes the first company licensed to provide edibles in Washington state. Db3’s warehouse is located on the 2400 block of Airport Way South. They hope to officially launch the operation next week.
The company will market the cannabis-infused products under the brand name Zoots. Db3 got a two-tier license that allows them to produce and process. They will grow marijuana and manufacture the edibles products. The company will offer seven different products when it begins its operation and more as weeks go by. Some of the initial Zoots products will include single shots, drink additives, chews, bites and melts.
The single shot energy drinks will be infused with 5, 10, and 30 milligrams of THC. The chews, bites, and melts are available in various forms, from the baked good variation to nuggets infused with 5 or 10 mg of THC. Db3 says their products are a lot like drinking wine; the more you eat the more you will feel the effect.
