LYNNWOOD — A search warrant served in the Lynnwood area Friday morning turned up marijuana plants, explosives and firearms, police said. At about 8:15 a.m., Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies searched a home in the 18200 block of Larch Way, east of Lynnwood. They found about 100 marijuana plants, sheriff’s bureau chief Kevin Prentiss said. They also found what was believed to be “C-4” plastic explosives and firearms. “It’s a military-style explosive,” Prentiss said. “It’s not something people should have in their homes.” Because of what was found, deputies also called in a Washington State Patrol bomb squad and the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force to help process the scene, Prentiss said. Arrested was an Edmonds man, 26. He was booked into jail for investigation of manufacturing a controlled substance with intent to deliver. No injuries were reported during the incident.
