Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Fight Sticks From Mad Catz Revealed

 

Capcom’s superhero and video game character brawler Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will soon have you slapping sticks and punching buttons, which means you’ll want an arcade-style stick to go with it to prove you’re a true baller. Mad Catz has finally revealed the licensed sticks that are expected to launch with the game on February 15. Are sticks better than pads? My thumbs can’t answer that question. But, I can tell you this: sticks are much bigger than pads.

These Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Tournament Edition FightSticks (which are a real mouthful) will be available in both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 flavors, feature Japanese-style ball-handled sticks, use 30mm action buttons, a d-pad control switch and dual-turbo functionality. The bottom of the unit features screw-on rubber feet for playing on a solid surface, and they’ve tucked the start / select buttons out of the way and provided a locking mechanism for the turbo function so you won’t accidentally trigger the apocalypse. 

Of course, they’re also branded with nifty Marvel vs. Capcom 3 exclusive artwork, and are only being produced in a run of 5,000 units. Ultimate gamer DIY idea: buy two of these, then build your own custom MvC3 arcade cabinet, and don’t scrimp on that screen size.
