Medical marijuana school may come to Orlando

A new school in Tampa is giving students a new meaning to higher education with its courses on the business of marijuana.

The school, Medical Marijuana Tampa — or, as some call it, Cannabis U — has a slogan of “Take Your Career To A Higher Level.” And its creator, Jeremy Bufford, is serious about taking the idea to new heights.

As of now, the school has 12 students in one small classroom. But despite the controversy behind the idea, Bufford hopes to bring the course to Pinellas County, Orlando and Miami by April.

Expansion plans were sped up thanks to Florida’s medical marijuana initiative on the 2014 ballot.
