Middle schoolers busted with marijuana pipe on campus

Eight Cottonwood Middle School Students were cited after passing around a pipe full of marijuana on campus. School Safety Officer Del Munday was contacted by Vice Principal Bill Sanderlin, who advised that a 14-year-old student had brought a pipe to school with marijuana in it. He gave the pipe to an 11-year-old girl, telling her that the cops are watching him and he could not hold it, but that she should give the pipe to a third student. The girl took the pipe to the cafeteria where the third student took the pipe and three boys took it to the bathroom to smoke.

Afterward, the third student returned the pipe to the girl, who gave the pipe to another student who passed it to yet another 11-year-old. A 12-year-old boy finally took the pipe and placed it behind a soda vending machine. The 14-year-old student was questioned about the pipe he brought to the middle school, but also about a commercial burglary.

He was arrested for possession of marijuana, paraphernalia and involving a minor in a drug offense. He was taken to Juvenile Detention in Prescott. Six 11-year-old students including five boys and the girl plus the 12-year-old will be charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
