Middlesex County man tries to eat marijuana during traffic stop in Raritan Township

Police say a 33-year-old Middlesex County man tried to ingest the marijuana he had in his vehicle during a Tuesday traffic stop in Raritan Township.

Darryl A. Singh, 33, of Piscataway, N.J., was stopped a little after 10 a.m. at Routes 202 and 31 when a random license plate search revealed his New Jersey driver’s license was suspended.

Singh had pot in the vehicle, police said, and tried to eat some of the drug to get rid of it.

Singh was charged with possession of a controlled, dangerous substance in a vehicle, possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, driving with a suspended license and obstructing the administration of law for eating some of the marijuana.
