Montana woman arrested after allegedly advertising marijuana sale

A Montana woman is in custody for allegedly trying to sell marijuana after posting signs that read, “Marijuana for sale, with free samples.” Tami Lorraine Madison, 40, of Butte, Mont., was arrested Saturday and booked into the Humboldt County jail on charges of felony possession of marijuana for sale. Her bail is set at $25,000.

According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was on patrol in the Fernbridge area Saturday around 11 a.m. when he saw a car parked near the Renner gas station. The car had signs advertising marijuana for sale posted on it. When the deputy asked Madison about the signs, Madison reportedly told the deputy that it was a joke.

According to a press release, the deputy looked in Madison’s car and saw dried marijuana bud on the front passenger seat. The deputy then searched Madison’s car and discovered over eight pounds of dried, processed marijuana.
