More than 800 marijuana plants seized following aerial search in West Virginia

More than 800 cultivated marijuana plants in Morgan, Berkeley and Jefferson counties were seized following an aerial search of the Eastern Panhandle on Wednesday, West Virginia State Police said in a news release.

Members of the West Virginia State Police, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and West Virginia Natural Resource Police were assisted by the United States Army RAID Task force, the release said.

Charges are pending against several individuals for feloniously cultivating marijuana, police said.
