North Carolina man calls 911, claims drug dealer didn’t bring him his marijuana

north carolina sign hbtv hemp beach tvA North Carolina man called 911, claiming his drug dealer failed to bring him the cocaine and marijuana he had paid for.

WECT reported that a New Hanover County 911 dispatcher received the complaint Tuesday.
The caller, identified as Dave, said he gave his drug dealer $80 for the drugs. The caller said his drug dealer told him he would meet him at a gas station but never showed up.

“I’m waiting on this guy to do the right thing,” Dave told the 911 dispatcher. He also said his drug dealer was breaking the law.

It is against the law in North Carolina to call 911 for anything other than an emergency but Dispatcher Dawn Williams said the law has not cut down on misuse of 911.

Williams said it is up to the officer who responds to the call to determine if someone broke the law by calling 911. The police have not said if the caller will be charged. Williams said calls such as the one Dave made are a waste of time and resources.
