Panasonic’s train-wreck-turned-into-a-massacre-wrapped-inside-a-corpse that was the MMO handheld improbably called the Jungle has been canceled.
In a statement, the company says that it has scrapped the handheld “due to changes in the market and in our own strategic direction.”
The Jungle was announced in October of last year, and the handheld that planned to deliver online gaming and MMOs was met with skepticism at best. It’s a great idea in theory, but it may have just been way too ambitious for its time.
