Police search for 3 men who robbed City Heights marijuana dispensary

The robbery occurred at about 7:15 p.m. in the 4100 block of El Cajon Boulevard.

The “Wellness Center” dispensary was open for business Wednesday evening it was robbed, police said.

“[They] came in and pointed guns at both the customers that were inside the store and the employees,” said San Diego police Lt. David Rohowits. “I’m not exactly sure what their demands were but ultimately the loss was one of the laptop computers that belong to the business.”

The dispensary is located behind a market on El Cajon Boulevard, almost totally out of sight. The poorly-lit front door looks like the entrance to warehouse storage and is surrounded by garbage, loose planks of wood and old office furniture.

Police had trouble finding the place after the 911 call.

“Many of them have been shut down, so I’m sure about the legal status of this one,” said Rohowits. “That’s not my job right now. My job is to investigate an armed robbery and hopefully find suspects.”

No additional details about the robbery or a description of the suspects were immediately released.
