Police seize 800 pounds of marijuana

Chicago police have seized more than 800 pounds of marijuana valued at more than $2.5 million after arresting two men on the city’s South Side.  Police arrested 38-year-old Hugo Sanchez and 49-year-old Arnulfo Saldana after police stopped Sanchez this week.  Police said officers found more than 87,000 grams of marijuana and $57,000 in cash in his car.

Police said their investigation led to Saldana’s home, where they found more drugs and money.  Saldana faces felony marijuana possession and distribution charges. He’s being held on $350,000 bond.  Sanchez faces a felony charge of marijuana possession. His bond was set at $100,000.
