WARWICK, R.I. — Two Warwick men have been arrested on drug charges despite holding state issued cards that allow them to possess marijuana. Police say 48-year-old Donovan Barnett and 27-year-old Donovan Hodgkinson had far exceeded the legal limit for growing marijuana for medical purposes. A raid of their home on Wednesday led to the seizure of 31 marijuana plants, a small amount of marijuana and cash.
The suspects were charged with cultivating and delivering marijuana, and released on bond Thursday. A phone call seeking comment from Barnett and Hodgkinson was not immediately returned on Friday.
