Suspects hurled five pounds of pot at police during 110-mph high speed chase

Bags upon bags of marijuana poured out the windows of a speeding car in Oregon Monday night pelting a tailing state trooper until the very end of their high-speed case. Oregon State Police say two Washington State men reached speeds up to 110-mph after earlier stopping them on the freeway for a more ordinary charge of speeding.

Joshua Lutz, 33, and Nathan Garza, 32, were originally compliant with the trooper, right until the driver, Mr Lutz, got back into his car and shot off northbound in an attempt to evade police, Oregon Live reports. Troopers and deputies recovered approximately 5 pounds of marijuana dumped along the Oregon interstate as well as from the getaway car shown

In the midst of their chase, both the driver and passenger were ripping apart half-pound bags of marijuana and pouring it out the getaway car’s windows, according to the following trooper. Both the driver’s side and the passenger’s emptied at least five pounds of the bright-green buds along Interstate 5, south of Eugene, according to police.
