Troopers Seize 114 Marijuana Plants In North Canaan

Two North Canaan residents are facing multiple charges after state police seized 114 marijuana plants from their property, including some that were eight feet tall. A person called troopers to report harassment via text message and a marijuana growing operation by Edward C. Fuller, 47, of 10 Highland Lane in North Canaan, state police said. A trooper was dispatched to the address Saturday to interview Fuller about the complaint and the marijuana. State police said Fuller confessed to growing plants outside his residence. Troopers not only found plants outside, but also inside and on a neighbor’s adjacent property. Ronanne Forcier, 41, who owns the home where Fuller lives, said she was complicit in the growing operation. State police seized about 114 marijuana plants and equipment used to cultivate the plant. Both Fuller and Forcier were are charged with cultivation of more than one kilogram of marijuana; possession of more than one kilogram of marijuana with intent to sell in violation; possession of marijuana greater than four ounces; and possession of paraphernalia associated with operating a drug factory.
