Two face drug charges after traffic stop in N.L.

A man and woman from Nova Scotia face a number of charges after police seized drugs during a traffic stop in Newfoundland.  They were arrested Friday after an RCMP officer stopped a vehicle in the Clarenville area for an alleged violation of the Highway Traffic Act. Police found cash as well as cocaine, marijuana and pills believed to be ecstasy.

The vehicle was also seized.  Both 27-year-old Shane Arlington Alexander and 22-year-old Andrea Alexandra Piercy face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking. Alexander has also been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.
